Vision 2030 Intro
A few words from Ellis Mair on Vision 2030. The mission, the purpose, the how and the why.
What is Vision 2030?
Go4’s Vision 2030 is a strategic 5-year plan to empower the athletic training profession, expand opportunities, and bring certified athletic trainers to every sideline, everywhere.
Why Vision 2030?
Athletic training is a vital, evolving healthcare profession—but it’s at a turning point.
Despite decades of progress, athletic trainers (ATs) face systemic challenges:
- Enrollment in accredited programs has declined
- Compensation remains disproportionately low
- Many ATs report burnout and dissatisfaction
- Stakeholders still misunderstand what ATs do
Go4 launched Vision 2030 to change that.
This plan outlines actionable steps—rooted in data and driven by partnerships—to elevate the profession, improve retention, and increase public understanding of the AT’s role in healthcare and safety.
Vision 2030 Objectives
Inspire The Next Generation
Increase enrollment in athletic training programs by raising awareness of the profession as a viable, fulfilling healthcare profession.
Empower current ATs
Reduce attrition and improve satisfaction among practicing ATs.
Engage key stakeholders
Elevate awareness and support among key stakeholders—including parents, coaches, and administrators—about the vital role ATs play in healthcare and safety.
