How Go4 Works
Self-Directed Accounts
POST YOUR JOB: Post your job—quickly and for free—at Go4.io.
REVIEW & HIRE: Review the ATs who apply and then just click to hire.
WE HANDLE THE REST: We take care of the paperwork and 1099s.
Managed Accounts
INITIAL CONSULTATION: We start by getting a full picture of your facility — reviewing your annual event calendar, athlete volume, seasonal surge periods, existing emergency protocols, and any gaps in your current injury documentation practices. This assessment becomes the foundation for everything that follows.
—
COVERAGE PLAN & PROPOSAL From the consultation, we build a customized athletic training coverage plan that outlines staffing hours, AT-to-athlete ratios, emergency action plan requirements by venue and activity type, and an injury documentation framework tailored to your population.
—
ONBOARDING & SETUP Once the plan is approved, we get the infrastructure in place: recruiting and credentialing ATs for your specific shifts, distributing facility-specific EAPs to all relevant staff and ATs, and activating Go4’s HIPAA-compliant EMR so every injury, evaluation and referral is documented from day one.
—
ONGOING EXECUTION With coverage live, our team manages day-to-day operations; coordinating AT schedules, making sure that EAPs are current and accessible at every field and court and maintaining documentation standards across all events. If staffing needs shift with your calendar, we adjust.
—
OPERATIONAL REVIEWS We hold bi-monthly meetings to review coverage performance, incident reports, documentation trends, and EAP compliance. These reviews give your leadership visibility into what’s happening medically at your facility and surface opportunities to make it safer over time.

Frequently Asked Questions
How much does it cost to post?
Listing your job on Go4 is completely free. After your job is posted, it is marketed to athletic trainers in the surrounding area. You can select from the certified, insured athletic trainers who apply to your gig.
How does the Emergency Action Plan Work?
As a facility, you know the importance of being prepared for an emergency. On the Go4 platform, you or your operators can automatically generate an Emergency Action Plan that lists the nearest emergency services, and provides space to add venue-specific instructions like entrance and equipment instructions. Already have your EAP dialed in? Simply upload yours to assist your operator!
Do I have to give my athletic trainer a 1099?
No! Go4 partners with Stripe, and as a Payment Settlement Entity under IRS rules, Stripe and Go4 handle the issuance of 1099s to the healthcare professionals that work on our platform.
Can I hire multiple athletic trainers?
You bet you can! On Go4, you can post multiple shifts with open spots for multiple athletic trainer. Is your facility operating all weekend? Consider posting 8 hour shifts to help break up the day for athletic trainers.
