LakePoint Sports is a youth sports complex that provides year-round athletic facilities for 30 different sports. Located just outside of Cartersville, GA, the unique facility is home to both indoor and outdoor amenities.

The space can simultaneously operate 24 full-court volleyball games, multiple wake-boarding competitions, lacrosse or soccer tournaments and 8 major league-specified baseball games. LakePoint Sports campus also accommodates visitors with two hotels and multiple dining options creating the most inclusive experience for tournament attendees.

Challenge

LakePoint Sports handles normal obstacles to operating an event: facilities, restrooms, accommodations, concessions, parking and event staff. However, LakePoint failed to offer a true turn-key solution to customers who require multiple athletic trainers throughout the week or weekend. Customers regularly travel from out of state without athletic trainer resources.

Access to healthcare is essential

to avoid an increased risk of injury, provide treatment for existing injuries, navigate weather, weather-related illnesses and provide a better participant experience.

LakePoint hosts regular practices for local clubs who do not have the budget to support a full-time athletic trainer. These teams also need access to athletic trainers to keep athletes safe and manage the facility’s liability.

The Go4 on-demand Athletic Trainer staffing platform.

Over 21,000 athletic trainers make up the Go4 community, and regularly use the mobile app to search for per diem jobs and pick up available shifts near them. Athletic Trainers also have access to an in-app injury reporting system which allows them to send a report to the parent or next clinician in line of care.
