You Asked, We Listened: Introducing the Quick Encounter Log

If you’ve ever spent more time documenting an ice bag than it took to apply one, you’re not alone. For years, athletic trainers have told us the same thing: “I love the EMR, but sometimes I just need to log something fast and get back to my athletes.”

We heard you. That’s why we’re excited to introduce the Quick Encounter Log, now live in the Go4 EMR.

What It Is

The Quick Encounter Log is an abbreviated version of the full EMR designed for the interactions that don’t need a deep dive. Think of it as the documentation equivalent of a quick check-in versus a full evaluation. You still capture the essentials, but without toggling through every field in a comprehensive encounter note.

It’s built for the reality of event coverage, where you might see dozens of athletes in a single shift and need to keep your documentation tight without falling behind.

Why We Built It

This feature didn’t come from a product roadmap brainstorm. It came directly from you.

Through feedback surveys, support conversations, and countless messages from ATs in the field, one request kept surfacing: give us a faster way to log routine interactions. Taping an ankle, handing out an ice bag, doing a quick wellness check. These moments matter, and they deserve to be documented, but they shouldn’t require the same workflow as a full injury evaluation.

So we built a tool that respects both the importance of documentation and the pace of your day.

Who It’s For

Any AT using the Go4 EMR who handles high-volume, routine interactions during event coverage. If you’ve ever wished you could document faster without sacrificing quality, this one’s for you.

Try It Now

The Quick Encounter Log is available today inside the Go4 EMR. Next time you’re on-site and need to log a routine interaction, give it a spin. We think you’ll notice the difference immediately.
