NFL QB Derek Carr Advocates For Certified ATs in California
How important is it to have a certified athletic trainer on your sideline? Just ask the starting quarterback for the Oakland Raiders and outspoken AT advocate, Derek Carr.
From taking big hits to conditioning his body, Carr attributes a lot of his football related success to the Athletic Trainers he’s had on his sideline. That’s why to prevent high school athletes from being treated by “uncertified persons”, he’s taking action and calling for the enactment of a bill in California which would mandate the employment of certified Athletic Trainers in High School sports settings.
