From conferences to connections, the CAATE has been busy! We recently attended the AMSSM (American Medical Society for Sports Medicine) and AAOE (American Alliance of Orthopaedic Executives) annual conferences in Kansas City and Atlanta over the past month. Thanks for connecting with us! See some highlights below.

Mark Laursen, CAATE Residency & Fellowship Director and Marje Albohm, CAATE Commissioner exhibited at the AMSSM Conference to promote the athletic training profession as well as residency and fellowship programs. Mark Laursen and Marje Albohm also participated in a scripted panel discussion alongside Paul Bruning, Duke University, Stephanie Hines, Emory Healthcare at the AAOE Conference focusing on the employer point of view in hiring a residency graduate and starting a residency program in large group practices/hospital system.
