2022 Wrap Up with Go4’s AT Community Manager Josh Beard, MA, ATC
Go4 2022 Wrap Up / AT Community Manager Josh Beard, MA, ATC
As we take some time to reflect on everything that has happened over the last year, I want to share some of the things that make the Go4 Community special, and would be impossible without you.
From the beginning, the mission of Go4 has been to get athletic trainers on every sideline, everywhere.
As the definition of “sideline” continues to evolve, so too do the settings and jobs being posted on Go4. Industrial, performing arts, cheer, drum corps, roller derby, the list goes on. ATs like you and our community of 16,612 (and counting) continue to jump in and showcase just how vital athletic trainers are to the health and well being of everyone involved.
In 2022, athletic trainers earned $4,656,770.18.
That’s car payments, student loan payments, holiday gifts, vacations, rent, kids sports team payments, 529 deposits, renovations, bar tabs, etc…
That is incredible.
Over 15,000 jobs
122,384 hours worked
(That’s the equivalent of 13 YEARS!)
In 44 states
and 2576 zip codes
That’s 508 more zip codes than in 2021; creating more opportunities for more ATs.
And we’re just getting started.
The average rate increased $7 an hour to $51.50 over the last 12 months. The free market did its thing. Good rates got picked up and ‘bad’ rates didn’t.
But most importantly…
1,184,217 patients
had access to high quality healthcare provided by an athletic trainer.

And that is just the per diem side
2022 brought a rapid expansion of Go4 Contract Services with colleges, universities, and high schools throughout the country recognizing the value of athletic trainers, and adjusting their budgets to prove it. Our contracts pay an AT, on average, $53.45 an hour and $7,055 per month!
If you want to be kept up to date on contracts in your area, you can submit your resume HERE.
I continue to be humbled every day by your hustle, dedication, and choice to be part of the Go4 community. Keep an eye out for us on the convention circuit this year! It’s always great to meet face to face.
Thank you for an amazing 2022, and here’s to an even better 2023.
