Athletic Trainers For Your Entire Portfolio

Lakeshore Lacrosse

Background

Lakeshore Lacrosse is a female-run company for the female athlete. The vision of Lakeshore Lacrosse is to provide a medium for women to develop their skills, test their strengths, embrace sportsmanship and experience camaraderie with others who love the game.

As the premier club lacrosse company in the greater Chicagoland, Lakeshore Lacrosse operates two tiers of club lacrosse teams for youth & high school players. Lakeshore also hosts lacrosse camps, clinics, leagues and an adult travel team that competes locally throughout the year.

Lakeshore Lacrosse is based in Elmhurst, IL and provides Chicago’s western suburbs with lacrosse offerings for every age and skill level.

CHALLENGE

The principle challenge that Lakeshore Lacrosse faced is their expansive portfolio of offerings which requires an athletic trainer on the sideline. Each game, practice, league and clinic requires at least one athletic treainer present. During the tournament seasons in the summer and fall, Lakeshore Lacrosse hosts practices for 18 teams, multiple times per week.

Access to healthcare is essential to avoid an increased risk of injury, provide treatment for existing njuries, navigate weather, weather-related illnesses and provide a better participant experience.

Lakeshore Lacrosse hosts events in Chicago and the surrounding suburbs. Overlapping schedules presented a hurdle for Lakeshore, and the challenge of operating in multiple locations prevented even the most ambitious athletic trainers from being able to work the full schedule.

Solution

The Go4 on-demand Athletic Trainer staffing platform.

Over 21,000 athletic trainers make up the Go4 community, and regularly use the mobile app to search for available jobs and pick up shifts near them.

The Go4 platform provides Lakeshore Lacrosse with a turnkey solution to their specific needs: a network of local athletic trainers searching for per diem jobs at nights and on weekends which are the specific times that youth-sports operate.

Lakeshore Lacrosse is now able to provide healthcare at their various practices, clinics, camps and leagues. By posting the job–for free Lakeshore Lacrosse selects from certified and insured athletic trainers that apply.

“We operate leagues, camps, clinics and club teams throughout Chicagoland. We’ve got athletes of all ages and skill levels and need athletic trainers available to them everytime they come out to compete. I post all of my offerings in one spot, hire ATs from my phone and eliminate a major operational task from my plate.” – Amanda Kammes, CEO, LakeShore Lacrosse
