Share your best Moment / Story / Anecdote as an AT:
At my boys basketball banquet, my head coach talked about the struggles in the season and mentioned the injuries they went through. At that point he turned to my student and I and simply said, “You guys are world class and we cannot thank you enough.”
Although, we did not get the state title, we went to the state final four and had an amazing season of exciting basketball. There is nothing like an intense crowd during playoff basketball.
Quote/Lyric/Line that sums up Athletic Training For You:
Doing whatever you can to be the jack of all trades
What does your day to day look like?
I typically start off my mornings in the gym and roll right into business stuff for Nexus! It ranges from product design, social media marketing, business development, financial reports, etc. Right now it is currently tough with the baby, so I am not able to do as much business work. In the afternoons I head to Sumner HS and do all the usual things that a secondary school AT does.
What has been the biggest change in the year of the pandemic?
Getting furloughed twice honestly, but I used that different work hustle to start developing the ideas of starting Nexus.
When you’re not on a sideline, where can we find you?
My first passion is art, so if I can squeeze a moment I like to work on my personal pieces of art. I’m a beach lover and take full advantage of the amazing beaches in the Tampa Bay area!
