Riverdale Country School is a pre-k through grade 12 private school located in the Bronx, New York. With campuses separating the upper and lower school, Riverdale is home to 1,260 students.
Riverdale has a flourishing athletics department exemplified by the more than 80% of the Middle and Upper school students participating in at least one sport during the school year. There are 60 varsity and junior varsity programs divided among boys and girls teams.
Riverdale competes in the Ivy Preparatory School League against notable standouts like Trinity, Horace Mann and Hackley School. Most recently, Riverdale celebrated an Ivy Preparatory League Championship in Boys’ Tennis.
CHALLENGE
The principle challenge facing Riverdale Country School was a lack of available athletic trainers during the middle of the school year when their Head Athletic Trainer took maternity leave. With a substantial athletics program, Riverdale needed to hire an athletic trainer for a short-term contract.
Access to healthcare is essential to avoid an increased risk of injury, absenteeism for treating new and existing injuries, and elevated healthcare costs for additional required services such as physical therapy.
