The Nurse Licensure Compact or NLC is a licensure that allows RNs to carry a ‘compact’ license which allows them to work as an RN in any other NLC state. To date, there are 39 states who participate in the NLC, 3 that have passed it and are awaiting implementation and 4 more who have put the wheels in motion to enact it.
